I started Bolsterstone Quilters in September 2012 by putting an advert in the local paper asking anyone interested to come to a meeting at the village hall. The response was brilliant with over 25 people turning up. I asked for committee members to join me and at the end of the meeting Bolsterstone Quilters was up and running.
I was Chair from the beginning and worked with an amazing committee, Liz Brooks, Liz Hewett, Sue Rodgers and Trish Hill who worked so hard to organise a full diary of activities, speakers and workshops for the members - we now have 40 in total. We have now stepped down from the committee so that others can have a chance to develop the group further but the original five continue to be involved as members.
