Gillian Callaghan

Where to start? I have lived in Carmarthenshire for well over forty years and I have made many friends from within the quilting groups I have joined - The Guild, Towy Quilters, the Twenty-Eleven Group and also the Contemporary Quilt Group. In 2016 I taught a small group of ladies from North Carmarthenshire the techniques of quilting etc. and we have formed a group and meet once a month (yet to be affiliated - I am working on it!) We are known as Llanycrwys Quilters.
My other hobbies are walking, gardening, nature and family history.
November 2018 Update - time for a change! The last two quilts I have made have been Foundation Pieced [over fine calico] and it is a technique that I have enjoyed so much that it is my new chosen direction. I will still return to my contemporary work from time to time. I have just enrolled onto a Jane Hall workshop at 'the Academy of Quilting' on-line Quilting School. I am looking forward to mastering 'pineapples' and will update members on my progress.
